2 years passed by like a rainy cold wind in my life. The 2 years, which truly felt like something special. I don’t know why, but I wish, if i could go back in time, and then capture every snap of those days, in the camera lens of my heart.
Telling about the years…… Wait I think… my readers are confused about things right now!! I’m so sorry. The 2 years, that I have been thinking about right now is my 11th and 12th standard. Yes, the senior secondary of every student life. You know, some people say that let the school life pass by as soon as possible. But, then my answer would be that, you have not felt those years, with your heart. But I did.
You know….. I was a very introvert type back then till my 10th standard. It was only after 10th that I discovered a fully new version of me. A happy, emotional, funny, lovingly, loyal, friendly character of me. If I was ever been able to change within these 2 years, then it’s only because of that class. Teachers called it an indecent class, but we called it home. Our home… sweet home. My senior secondary batch. The Commerce with IP batch.

Well….. if I have to tell about this class, I have a lot to tell. It’s actually a complete mess. You could actually experience a complete comic book in that class. All sort of characters. May it be in attitudes, or may it be sizes, may it be races, religions, every aspect. Actually, a complete movie.
Many things happened to me, while staying up with these mad people. But, now that I think of it, I just think that I was perfectly fit in that class. The madness that took place, had no meaning till that day when it happened. But now as I remember them, all those incidents, have actually captured my heart in a special way. With a warmth of love. If I recall those memories now, it’s so special to me.

I was a girl, who never loved to make friends among the failures. But, I don’t know how it happened that I made best friends, within those failures. Never knew, that failed students, who are actually older than me would become my angels. Like really, even now, I can’t understand what was that, that I got attracted towards them. The years, I spent with them….. I would really consider it to be worth it.
Well, those are just sweet dreamy memories to me now. Because, I’m no longer a school student. I can never be one. The last memory I created with my school buddies was our farewell. A happy ending to school life…. but a sad goodbye in our sparkling eyes. True. On 1st February, 2020, I woke up in the morning like any other day. But, somehow, I felt uneasy inside. While I was washing up, I remembered my friends for no reason. And, when I was getting changes into my school uniform, somehow, I got teary eyed. Still for no reason. I ate my breakfast, but couldn’t taste anything really much. Everything seemed to be tasteless.
I left home, reached school. Our front gate was decorated, with a writing in the front lobby, saying, ” we were happy to have you with us…. and that we will miss you for sure”. I don’t know why, but that message at that time felt like something that I didn’t wanted to hear. I entered my class. Friends were seated in their benches like any other day. But for me, even the scent of our class felt so strange that day. Friends, even though were the same, still seemed to be new to me. The school auditorium was decorated well enough. Teachers gave off their best wishes to us. Students gave their heartfelt thankyou messages to the teachers. The school prepared video message for us the students. Praised us to be the bestest batch of them, in their entire career. A few of the students got teary eyed while watching the video message. Few of them broke down. I saw them shedding tears silently in the corners of the auditorium.

As a last farewell, teachers passed on their last lights of an enlightened future to us. Our hands touched each other’s hearts. Teachers, for the first time, kept their hands over our heads and gave their best wishes to our future selves. We pledged together for a better future. Took pictures with our loved ones. Including our beloved teachers. Even the newbie teachers had their best times with us. One or two of them really considered us to be their best kids and shedded tears secretly.

But who knows them better than us. As soon their eyes seemed wet, we knew…. that those tears belonged to us. All of us took pictures with them. And we happily scribbled on our uniforms. Even those scribbled messages over my uniform were heartfelt to me. A message that I would no longer be able to hear….. even if i wish to hear any of them. Heartfelt messages of the 23 best buddies that i created with all my love in my heart.

While I got out of the school gate, I had a happy feeling, thinking that I’m finally free from a hectic lifestyle. But somehow, I had a small percent of sorrow, deep under a corner of my heart, thinking that I’ll no longer be able to spend 6 hours in school…….. that I’ll no longer be able to hear that crazy chitchat that always surrounded my ears…… that I’ll no longer be able to see those crazy faces together, ever again.
But still, even till date, I try to remember only those happy parts of school and try to erase every moment in my heart that makes me go emotional. But, still don’t know why, after all those happy memories of 2 years, the ending always appears to be that farewell day. The day which I wished not to have happened ever.

But, even with that sad memory, I console my heart, thinking that every happy moment should eventually come to an end. And that even if one of them ends, the other will be on a hold to happen. So, I wait everyday, for that next happy memory to happen, like a small kid who wishes to see those bright stars on a clear sky day…….

Well that’s it guys. This was my farewell story. A sad, still happy memory. I hope, that my readers would have been able to connect to my feelings. If you really did, then show me your love. Give tons of likes and share this feeling with your bestest batch forever. And for sure, let me know how you felt on your farewell day, and was it same as me or not, by commenting on my blog. I’ll see you next time, with another beautiful memory of mine. Until we meet, keep your eyes on me.
